Black spider with white spots on its back – How dangerous it is?

The presence of white spots does not equate to dangerousness. However, spiders should generally be treated with care since there is a risk of toxin poisoning through spider bites that can possibly lead to death.
The most common venoms found in black widow spider bites are latrotoxins lathotoxin and alpha-latrotoxin. These toxins target insect nerves and muscles, thus leading to body spasms known as latrodectism (which would likely have the same effect on humans). Though many people know about antivenin, they don’t realize that it only works if administered before the onset of symptoms like pain and cramping.
