What does RTC connecting mean on Discord, and how to fix it?

Discord RTC Connecting means that the microphone on a discord user is not being detected by the computer. One way to fix this is to change the system settings under “Hardware” and go down until you see your Microphone listed. Right click on it, and then hit Properties.
In there, hit Test Microphone and see if it picks up sound from your mic. If so, congratulations! You’re good to go!
If you do not hear any noise coming out of your mic when you test it, most likely Windows has something wrong with its drivers for the microphone…
