Seinen manga explore more mature and intellectually stimulating topics. Seinen manga typically deals with the emotional sciences, abstract concepts of man or society, comparative studies on human nature, over-the-top violence and more detailed and technical drawing styles than typical of shounen manga. These comics are known for their in-depth plots that engage the intellect instead of just relying on action sequences to attract readers as shōnen manga does. As a result, seinen is usually categorised separately from children’s and young adult ranges of comics that often contain themes such as ninjutsu (e.g., Naruto), magic (e.g., Harry Potter) or robots (e.g., Gunsmith Cats)
