Can you use a Visa gift card on Amazon?
I think you can’t use a Visa gift card on Amazon. Amazon trades strictly in proprietary digital currency, known as Amazon Coins. You might still be able to buy goods on their site using your credit card if they have that capability. But the only way to legitimately buy an item with a gift card is by trading it for an item in their physical store. That’s what I do and I’m quite pleased with the service revenue!
Yes, you can. This is true for Visa gift cards in both locations. I know this because part of my job is to buy things from Amazon with money on customers’ gift cards when they want to get cash rather than use the card. It’s not possible at the moment, but work is underway to allow purchases from physically present stores via these type of cards so it should be possible in the future.
To order items using a debit card, you need to add it as your “payment method” and have already linked it with your account–just go throughout the purchase process using that method instead of then selecting payment by debit card or credit card which would apply a surcharge and require billing info if desired.
Yes, you can use a Visa gift card on Amazon.
You can put your gift card onto your Amazon account. This allows the money from that card to be applied when checking out at any time instead of having to apply it while paying for shipping if you’re buying an individual item. Just select “Add funds to my account” and log in with your username and password when prompted. For this way, you’ll need that credit card for security purposes (you might also want to change up some of your general settings).
Amazon does not allow merchants who only sell their own products or items under their company branding–or businesses with multiple inventories–to add new bank cards manually through their website.
Yes.
Getting an amazon gift card should be a free process. When you provide your payment information and billing address, there’s a card with the word “Gift Card” in green letters flashing to your right. See it? Click on that while you are at check-out if you want to purchase an Amazon gift card without having to enter any payment information or billing address details for signing up for an Amazon account ahead of time. Again, as long as the recipient has been notified beforehand and hasn’t yet redeemed their new account activation email or phone number into the old account’s balance by clicking ‘Earn Your Balance’
Yes. A Visa gift card is a type of prepaid debit/credit card that you can purchase at most stores without the need for a credit check. The funds on this type of card are not in actuality your own, they belong to the person who has given you the card and are classified as money, hence it qualifies for use with Amazon which only accepts debit and credit cards.
Yes. You can use a gift card on Amazon to purchase anything you want in the store. You just need to manually enter the code when prompted, and from there Amazon knows what balance is on your account and deducts that amount from your total before authorizing your payment method.
