How to join a server on a discord without an invitation?
A server needs to have a keyword in order for you to be able to join. There are two ways of knowing what that keyword is. First, you can ask your friend or someone else who is already in the room, or second, you can look it up by downloading an app like discordapp.com/invite/choose on your phone and typing the name given to this question into search and then clicking the most popular result (which should open up the servers page with said server at top). You’ll need a discord account with some type of chat service platform such as Skype installed on your computer before searching for servers because otherwise there’s nothing linking it back to yourself.
A discord server invitation is a link that our members can use to join the server. Generally, users receive invitations by being on members list or they might have majored in it. Do the following steps, and you’ll “uninvite” yourself on your own Discord server.
- Log in to your Discord account.
- Click on the Servers tab and click View Visible Discords in the top-right corner.
- Find a visible Discord and click Join Server next to it.
Make sure you’re connected to the internet, and then go to https://discordapp.com/download/#build-and-chat on your computer’s web browser. Press the download button at the top of the screen and wait for it to download a program called “Discord” onto your device. It is possible that Discord could launch automatically when completed, but if not click on “Discord”. Then either drag chat tabs off of desktop or minimize them until they are back out of sight (so they are minimized). Now press login by entering email address and password from discord account in fields provided; do not log into any third party account like Facebook as this can give access to personal information on another company’s servers.
