‘- First, find the “Prt Scr” button on your keyboard. It should be near the arrow keys and below a Function key they refer to as Fn.

    – Next – depending on which version you have of Windows – follow these instructions:

Windows vista : Press Windows key+Prt Scr OR right click + select Printer (in working order) or Scanner (not in working order) from right click options that appear after pressing print screen.

Windows 7 and 8: Press Windows Key+Prt Scr OR use WINkey+HOME while in Microsoft Word. The image will then be copied to your clipboard ready for pasting into an editing program like Paint or Photoshop

Depending on the model of Asus, you may need to press the function (fn) key and one of the other keys in a certain order.

For an ROG laptop that is running Windows 8 or 10, for instance, you can press fn & winkey simultaneously; then select “Screenshot” from the list. You do not need to enable any shortcuts using this method — pressing fn & winkey should be enough. If it does not work with this default shortcut, then try fn & alt simultaneously instead. This combo has been known to work for some models running Windows 8 or 10.

To take a screenshot of an entire page on an Asus laptop, follow these steps:

    1. Open the window you wish to take a screenshot of.
    2. Press “Print Screen” and the page will automatically be saved as “Picture_x.png” where x is whatever number your version of Paint happens to be.
    3. If you want just a particular showing, then press Ctrl + Print Screen for the focused window rather than Ctrl + Prt Sc for taking a screenshot of all open windows.
    4. This will result in saving the picture file as “selected_window_name.png”. For more information on this process, visit youtube or simply google it! 🙂

Regardless of the operating system, instructions for screen capture are ctrl + shift + 4.
Printscreen can be used in place of “ctrl + shift + 4”.
Then afterwards paste it into a paint program or Word document to edit.
Shift does not need to be held down while taking a screenshot on an Asus laptop.
The screen doesn’t need to be captured though; pressing Ctrl will copy whatever’s presently displayed on the screen. Pressing Left Shift and Right Shift at the same time will allow selection and copying of text from different parts of the current window without activating those items in Microsoft Windows 10 .

The screenshot key on an Asus laptop is usually mapped to the Print Screen button. Pressing it will copy the screen into a new file and open it for you in Paint. Alternately, if you are using Windows 8 or higher, pressing Print Screen will automatically paste that screenshot onto your clipboard- all you’ll need to do is switch over to another program (almost any word processor, graphics editing software, etc.) and press CTRL+V.

The other way to take a screen capture with an Asus laptop is by pressing Alt+Print Screen. With this combination of keys pressed at once, Windows copies the entire screen to the clipboard without obscuring your field of view.

You can take a screenshot by pressing Windows button and Print Screen key at the same time. The captured image will automatically be saved to the “Pictures” folder in your Pictures library.

Screenshots are automatically saved by default.

Press the Print Screen key to take a screenshot of anything on your screen and save it as a file on your Desktop or other folder.
    Screen capture software
Capture screenshots with image editing programs like MS Paint, Photoshop, GIMP, Snagit, etc before saving them to your computer. Drag and drop the screenshots from the folder you’ve created into Microsoft Paint (MSPaint). You can use this screenshot tool for windows specifically for taking screenshots in Windows 7/8/10’s OneDrive cloud storage service. This is also an excellent option if you want to share your screenshot quickly via social media sites without uploading them onto another website.

    Press the Print Screen key.

Save it on your desktop or hand it to someone else.

Switch back to what you were doing before taking the screenshot and release the print screen button.

Press Enter or Return key on your keyboard.

Most likely, pressing this key combination will cause a window titled “Paint” open up displaying what your screen currently looks like – so just save that in one of the ways listed beforehand!

Press the “print screen” button on your keyboard to save the screenshot to a file.

Opening up Paint, then pasting in that file usually does the trick. Otherwise you can use an app like SnagIt or Skitch (web is fantastic for screenshots).

Start by opening Paint and going to File>New Window. This will give you a window with a blank canvas but based on your current settings – it will probably be very small. Drag this window off of the page onto your desktop so that its own individual document appears on-screen. This is where you’ll put all of the important screenshots while experimenting with different snapshot techniques and cropping decisions, before finally submitting as one final image online.

To take a screenshot on an Asus laptop, simply press the “PrntScn” button on your keyboard. It will instantly capture a snapshot of your screen, which you can paste into a document or image editing program. I use this method all the time for saving important information or sharing interesting content with others!
