Press the “Windows” button and simultaneously press the “Print Screen” key. It’s that easy!

This keyboard shortcut will place an image of your entire desktop screen in the clipboard as a file. Ctrl++ is also a keyboard command for this same function, but let’s be honest, it takes too many steps to activate. That said, if you’re going old school with Windows 7 or 8, it might be easier to hit both CTRL+ALT+PrtScn instead – it places an image of your entire desktop screen into the clipboard without requiring you to use a mouse.

Use the Prt Scr button and paste into an image editor like Photoshop.

Or if you are on a desktop pc, open up paint and press Ctrl key+V over your screenshot.

After pasting the screenshot into the painting program, use crop to crop off any part of the screen that you don’t want people seeing e.g where you type in usernames passwords etc. The resulting snapshot will be a still image file that is clear quality with no other images on it or anything needing cropped out that may draw attention away from what’s important to focus on in your photo/screenshot.

Download and launch the correct application from this list.
    * Windows Screenshot Tool (requires Windows 7)
    * Snipping Tool (comes with Windows 10 installation)
    * Ultimate Screenshot Free (free to download and used by Apple Stores for comparing different devices’ screenshots to one another)

One technique is to use the Windows key and the Print Screen button on your keyboard simultaneously.
These two functions combine to take a screenshot on desktop computers running Windows 10 or 8. To take a picture of your entire screen, that’s what you would press and hold down. Pressing just the print screen button will only capture the window that’s in front-most focus at this very moment.

Control + PrintScreen, it copies the screen to your clipboard. Press Control + V (or right click) to paste the screenshot wherever you need it. Control + Shift+S saves a screenshot as a file in your Clipboard and conveniently displays it for you so that you can choose where to save.

To capture a screenshot, use the Print Screen (PrtSc) key and then paste it in Paint.

Copy (Ctrl+C on a pc) and then paste (Ctrl+V on a pc). Pick “Paste” as Image type from the menu and name the file if you want; hit enter once done. This creates a screenshot folder with today’s date of all captured screens by default in Documents/Pictures. The desktop is already there so just drag Capture1 into that folder to create today’s date with everything inside it for easier searching when needed. This also has advantages like combining screenshots together or other various things that are actually useful for your needs at some point.

One way to take a screenshot of the whole screen is by using keys/shortcuts.

Pressing and holding both “Win” and “s” will capture your screen and copy it to the clipboard, allowing you to paste that image wherever you want on any program.

Pressing Alt + Print Screen will capture only this window in full-frame format without cropping anything from the edges. Repeating this sequence again will capture each subsequent window as well as open programs in sequential order with Win + PrtScn.

Many times we just want to take a screenshot and be done with it. some of you are in Windows 10 laptop, so here is the answer.
First of all, Microsoft have already included an application called “Snipping Tool” which was originally introduced for the purpose of taking screenshots on PCs running previous versions of windows operating system.

To take a screenshot on a Windows 10 HP laptop, simply press the “PrtScn” button on your keyboard. You can then paste the screenshot into an image editing program or document. This method has been very convenient for capturing important information on my HP laptop.
