What are some of the best underrated anime series?
One of the best underrated anime series is Ergo Proxy. This anime series follows Re-l Mayer, an investigator for a national security agency called Romdeau in 3000 and Vincent Law (proxying), a rooter from a colony near Pince who has come to visit her as part of his job but ends up staying with her when he becomes the target of assassination from unknown agents. In underground Romdeau, they find themselves in the middle of political intrigue that could lead to war between whole domains with very imaginative and original art work.
Another one would be Kino’s Journey -the Beautiful World-, which takes place during different points in history, somewhat like Ray Bradbury’s “A Sound Of Thunder.”

Wolf’s Rain : A lot of people thought this show was really good, but it didn’t get much media attention until recently. It’s still amazing even though it did come out over a decade ago. I would recommend for mature anime fans only, but anyone who loves adventure should really give it a watch.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: This is one of the most popular and famous anime series in recent history. Originally aired from 2006-2010 with 2 movies made to conclude the series, there are 14 episodes with each being 24 minutes long without commercials (and 36 minutes if you include commercials).
Tenchi Muyo – Tenchi is thrown into the middle of three women’s lives while having to balance his own problems. It has a bit of everything from comedy, romance, and action.
Luci Christian (Voice Actress) gives a fantastic performance as Ryoko in this series, making her easily one of my favorite female characters in the show!
Fruits Basket – Kyo Sohma believed that he was born under an unlucky star trapped with having 12 signs which means 12 people will be at his mercy…Or so he thought! The truth was very different for instead of twelve people meeting their downfall at his hands it turns out to be closer to being the complete opposite where all these characters depend on.
Nekogami Yaoyorozu
Aikawa Ayumu is a leading expert in the study of cats and an employee at Cat’s Eye, Inc. This position is his own personal heaven because he loves cats with a passion and works with them every day. The problem is that Ayumu is terribly shy and lives in fear of being discovered for who he really is-a man! On top of that, none of him actual work ever gets done thanks to thinking about iced coffee drinks every day. One fateful day, however, everything changes when Matou Maruko arrives in his office on her search for Gyorohenrikku (Incense Burner Cat).
