In my experience, dragon fruit has a subtly sweet and refreshing taste, similar to a blend of kiwi and pear with a hint of watermelon. The texture is smooth and slightly crunchy from the black seeds, making it a unique and enjoyable fruit to try!
Dragon Fruit is a sweet tasting fruit that is low in calories and high in nutrients. In some countries, it’s called the pitaya. They are approximately the size of an orange or grapefruit, and they contain a lot of fiber with important minerals like potassium.
Fruit salads made with dragon fruit taste great and provide a healthy alternative to many traditional choices (particularly for those on diets). More importantly, it doesn’t hurt that these fruits are great for making other recipes when you can’t find any other food!
