Honestly, I’m not sure.
Nike and Adidas do not use the same shoe sizes. They have different size charts for men, women and children. That’s why you should make sure to check the right sizing chart based on your gender before ordering your next pair of trainers!
Nike is usually smaller than Adidas, but it’s possible for them to be the same size or for one to be slightly larger. For example, a Nike size 9 in the US is estimated to correspond with a German 37, and an Adidas size 39 can work too.
Nike has a tendency of being smaller than other brands but it also varies from person to person. A women’s 10 will have different measurements depending on the brand of shoe which could cause it to vary between 9-10 depending on whether they are Nike or not. If you need help deciding what size would best fit your foot just measure your foot in centimeters next time you go shopping and try on various styles until you find something that fits well
Nike utilizes the metric system with a base of centimeters.
Adidas (and many other brands) use US sizing, or based on feet depending on how it is marketed. Specialty stores like New Balance Utica (a long-standing shoe manufacturer whose main focus is USA sizing) may use two different scales in their store–US and customary English to reflect the base unit of measurement they are using for sizing.
Both companies vary in size by style–Nike Air Max sneaker ranges from Men’s 8-12, Adidas F5/F50 ranges from Men’s 7-14, Nike Roshe One ranges from Women’s 9-14.
Nike is an American company, and Adidas is a German company. Both are phenomenal athletic shoe companies, so it’s really just a matter of taste right now.
Nike was founded by Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman in 1964; its headquarters is in Beaverton, Oregon. Adidas AG began as Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik in 1948 to manufacture sports shoes. They split up when Adidas won the contract for supplying shoes for the 1972 Olympic Games. The two remained known as adidas until 1998 when they changed their name back to Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik (not ADS). It may be difficult for some people to tell them apart
The first major difference is in the fit. Nike shoes are designed to give a more snug and narrow feeling, while Adidas shoes have a looser feel that disperses weight throughout your foot more evenly.
The second major difference is material quality. Nike shoes usually consist of soft mesh on the toes and breathable leather on the rest of the shoe. In contrast, Adidas shoes use durable materials that seem to hold up better for those who participate in high energy or intense workouts regularly.
The third major difference is cost-efficiency. Nike shoes typically run cheaper than their counterpart – often by $5-$10 per pair (and oftentimes even less).
Lastly, when it comes to performance – both brands offer great products.
Nike uses European sizing, which is in whole numbers like 8 or 9. Adidas shoe sizes are usually in half numbers, such as 7 1/2 and 8 1/2. Nike shoes typically have a cushioned rubber sole with molded teeth on the toe and heel for grip while running. Adidas soles are made of natural gum rubber that’s thicker than regular gym shoes but not quite as thick as wetsuit neoprene soles.
I think there is no difference.
The size system, whether it be shoe sizes or pants sizes or any other size measurement, is not specific to any particular company. It’s just a standard metric that manufacturers and designers adhere to in order to make the products compatible with one another no matter who makes them. There are many different foot measurements used for sizing shoes around the world, but regardless of what your local measurement might be, you’ll always find the corresponding international sizing for Nike and Adidas running shoes.
The Adidas shoe size is typically smaller than the corresponding Nike shoe size to account for a trend among some international customers.
The customisation markets are China, Southeast Asia and Latin America. It is less about the different sizes of shoes (although they might require different quantities) and more about fitting people’s sense of fashion differently – they have their own traditional styles that can’t be experienced by Western eyes whereas we have ours. For example, in countries like Russia there are women who swear by very high heels or wedges because it elongates the legs; in Latin American and Brazil culture as well as many other cultures around the world, ruby or red lipstick has a signifying meaning (it traditionally denotes beauty)
