The difference between refurbished, and renewed is in the repairs. Refurbished describes a company that makes “refreshing” improvements. Renewed means to rejuvenate or bring back to a original state of usefulness. Would you like us to trade in your old car for a new one?

The easiest way to summarize the difference is if you happen to be interested in a particular product, always choose “refurbished” as refurbishment gives a longer warranty and it’s likely that it was used by someone else for a while.
Refurbished electronic devices are usually from an original manufacturer or authorized retailer who took their time at fixing or replacing any issues with the device. Whereas renewed products are either rebuilt by vendors using new components (sometimes sourced from other vendors) or reconstituted by manufacturers with pre-owned parts.

So if there is more than 1 item in the bundle, and at least one of them has been returned by a customer before, it can be stated as a ‘refurbished’ product. Of course only if the seller sets their return expectations accordingly.
If an individual product is sent back to the company, then it can’t be called refurbished anymore. It would have to go through the usual returns process (returns are on neweggs’ expense), and it will be inspected by Newegg’s RMA department before they send it back on its way.
The price for this item is what you might call ‘refurbished’, which is usually less than the price on an unopened product.
