Yaddle is a Jedi Master who appears in the background of the Jedi Council scenes in “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.” She is a rare and enigmatic character that fans of the franchise often overlook, but her presence adds depth to the lore of the Jedi Order.
Yaddle is George Lucas’s name for the character of Yoda.
We see Yaddle in all six Star Wars films but only in small amounts or as part of larger groups shot, for example a crowd scene. This led to some confusion on whether she was visible because she never spoke aloud and was so visually obscured by other things. In Star Wars Episode III there are three frames where we could almost be sure that it is her through a bit more clarity. She wears a tall conical headdress and appears to have long braided hair wrapped around the back and then under an armband with pendant ornaments dangling from it, which seems to match well with promotional pictures seen elsewhere for toys down below that appear to be from the same movie.
Yaddle is a pygmy Ewok.
In “The Phantom Menace,” Yaddle can be seen in the throne room when Padme and her supporters go to see Queen Amidala. She is standing on the right hand side wearing white robes; she has patches of hair and fur coming out from under her hood, but unlike most other Ewoks with longer hair, hers has been cut short to keep it neat around her head.
Yaddle is a Jedi Master from the Star Wars universe who makes a brief appearance in Episode I: The Phantom Menace. She can be seen sitting on the Jedi Council alongside Yoda during a scene in the movie.

She was first seen on the battlefields of Geonosis as an ancient creature barely alive on the ground until she was moved by Shaak Ti, also we see her in Rogue One at Chiruh garrison aiding Baze Malbus and Jyn Erso fight off against some storm troopers while protecting Bodhi Rook.We also know that she can give advice to other beings for guidance and help with problems.

Yaddle is only seen in one scene in The Phantom Menace, when she appears along side other Jedi masters to help with training of the new Jedis Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn. However later novels make her out to be a powerful Force user who teaches Joiner about the intricacies of fighting on two fronts at once, or leaves them with no need for it at all. She has some sort of relationship (probably friendship) with Master Yoda since he remembers her from his time as a Padawan under Thame Cerulian, but this will also have to be left fictional until confirmed or denied by Lucasfilm.
Yaddle is one of the eight Jedi Counselors on the Jedi High Council, with exceptional Force powers for her mastery of both sides of the force.
Yaddle is a Jedi Master who was considerably more ancient than the other Jedi Council members. Yoda explains in Episode I that she was like “the grandfather” of the order and that he respected her greatly, saying “she was just as wise and powerful as Masters Mace Windu or Qui-Gon Jinn.”
We see her during the Clone Wars on different occasions. She appears later during Season 3 and has an important role in protecting Anakin Skywalker from Palpatine’s schemes to turn him to the dark side.

She is seen when Qui-Gon Jinn approaches her for guidance and it’s clear that there is close to 100% certainty she was intending to instruct him not to approach the Hutt Bank. Yaddle is also in the background of Mos Espa with other members of the Hutt Syndicate council negotiating with an Ithorian Ambassador, during chapter 19 “Wealth.” Much later, near the end of Episode II, Yaddle’s image can briefly be seen in the Jedi Council. (Outbound Flight novel)
