I have always been a huge fan of both characters, but in my opinion, Superman would likely come out on top in a fight against Homelander. Superman’s experience and sheer power make him a formidable opponent in any situation.

Based on my personal experience, I believe Superman would win in a fight against Homelander due to his superior strength, speed, and endurance as well as his moral compass and sense of justice.

Superman would have a better chance, but Homelander would be dangerous.

It’s kinda of complicated. Homelander is much more powerful than Supes on account of being better at fighting (a systematic approach that always realizes its potential) and might also beat Supes in a fight. Best case scenario for the Man of Steel though is that he gets lucky and traps his opponent in kryptonite or anything else that restrict powers such as bullets made out silver to counter regeneration. And there’s really no telling what would happen when it comes to skill either; we don’t know which Homelander we’re talking about here! It might not be the same person from issue 1 all the way through 2 – for all we know, Homelander might have been replaced by a perfect double.

In other words, it’s hard to say if Homelander would win or if Superman would. Both have a chance to win, but Homelander’s is just bigger.

    Homelander

In an imaginary fight, Superman would be able to use his heat vision on Homelander as long as they were in a bright area, but outside of the sunlight dome at night or underground without lights, Superman would not be able to see. Similarly, if we’re only talking about stamina and strength? It’s close. But if one is taking into account tactics–hacking skills versus hypnosis for example–then it’s even closer. However, the fact that Homelander can fly is likely what gives him the edge over Superman through our imaginary scenario . What do you think? Who would have the best fighting chance (it doesn’t matter who wins)?

It would depend on their relative powers, personality, and skills.

Homelander is an Immortal with tremendous physical power but a limited range of abilities, such as flight. His weaponry includes energy blasters that can kill people in one shot. Superman is invulnerable to even the strongest blows against him so he may be able to withstand the impact of Homelander’s energy blasts and win in a long fight because it would take time for Homelander to tire or build up enough charge for another attack but he could be beaten quite easily if Superman has access to his full range of powers (pretty much anything else).

Superman would win because he is oblivious to pain and can heal so fast.

The two seem evenly matched in first appearances, but upon closer inspection, it’s easy to see that there are many disadvantages Homelander suffers from (a kryptonite allergy, lack of invulnerability), as well as a number of advantages Superman has over him. Given the armour Superman wears on his chest, he isn’t at any disadvantage at close combat whereas Homelander is probably not a physical match for Clark Kent when they’re one on one. In short, this battle will likely end quickly – with death by way of heat vision.

Homelander gets his head chopped off.

Homelander was created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, as an analogue of the Green Lantern. Superman’s creators were Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster who based him on Clark Kent, a journalist for the Daily Planet in Metropolis, who is given superpowers by Earth’s yellow sun. So in this way Homelander has some powers from his planet while Superman draws only his power from Earth (thus why he can’t stand under a yellow sun). It would be a close fight but I’d say Superman wins given that he is more diverse than Homalnder.

Superman would easily win against Homelander. Superman has proven to be one of the most powerful beings in DC comics. He was noted as being “The most powerful man alive.” In Action Comics No. 924, he is described by a Marine General as a “living Nuclear Weapon”, when Superman leads an invasion of Russia to take down General Zod. His abilities include flight, heat vision, super strength and invulnerability – which makes him unparalled with his versatility and skill level high enough to conquer any adversary, even Apocalypse or Thanos at peak condition for short periods of time without tiring out like lesser characters such as Spider-Man would if they tried beat these foes too quickly. He is said to be so strong, that not even a nuclear bomb could kill him. Superman can move planets and has been stated to be capable of moving solar systems over his abilities.

In addition to his powers, Superman’s physiology is also highly durable and resistant to many forms of damage including bullets, arrows, fire, ice, acids, etc. It is also stated that Superman does not need to breath or sleep. He can survive in the vacuum of space and his lungs have the ability to hold his breath for 20 years before having any adverse effects. His powers are so vast that he even has the power to time travel as seen in Kingdom Come when he travels back 18 hours into the past.

On top of all this, Superman’s speed and agility are high enough where he can move at hypersonic speeds (capable of moving half a mile in less than 2 seconds) and dodge almost every attack thrown at him by kryptonians like Zod who himself said Superman was “faster than lightening.” He is also resistant to telepathy as proven when Superman as Clark Kent was capable of resisting a telepathic attack from Martian Manhunter who has mind reading abilities capable of probing the minds of even those who have mental blocks, such as Batman.

In contrast, Homelander is nowhere near being on Superman’s level. In fact, he isn’t even a real Captain Marvel villain – just a no name knock off with a scarlet cloak and belt that bombards you with God awful puns. This guy wouldn’t be able to scratch someone like Doomsday let alone Superman himself. His durability is also downplayed at best; for example in The Boys #19 he gets his neck snapped by Vas (one of the gangsters working for Payback). He later recuperates in The Boys #20 (it takes 3 issues to heal a broken neck when you’re bullet proof), but still, it proves how easily he can be hurt. He also references that he doesn’t feel pain in his heart when Butcher shot him there in issue 37; however, it is stated that the only way you can kill Homelander (besides decapitation) is by shooting him in the head – which means even with his durability downplayed it would still be hard for Supermaan to pierce through Superman’s skin unless he uses heat vision.

Finally, a durable man like Homelander isn’t going to be much against someone who has invulnerability and super strength like Superman.

Superman is invulnerable to blunt impact, and Homelander appears to be a much more physical fighter. If he deals with the fireballs, it’s highly likely that Superman will end up dealing with a beat down. However, if Homelander’s pyrokinesis catches him off guard before he’s figured out how strong his opponent is (i.e. Superman directly goes through the flames) then Homelander might have an advantage since his ability negates many of Superman’s powers while amplifying his own strength and reduced any durability that he has left by making him scream in pain when struck or knocked back due to being burned so badly; meanwhile Homelander will feel little-to-no damage from this battle since Superman’s punches and kicks will be weakened.

Superman would win because Homelander isn’t a superhuman and Superman is stronger.

Homelander’s superhuman power is his ability to fly, which enables him to move and react quickly in combat with enemies all over the battlefield. Superman on the other hand can only really react quickly if he gets an attack close up and airborne. Another advantage of Homelander being able to fly is that it allows her to use them as potential weapons — such as grabbing one of Supermans’ hands while flying upwards and then ripping it off him while plummeting towards the ground at terminal velocity — whereas Superman has nothing by default that he could use for this purpose (of course these options are available should either side develop enhanced abilities during combat).
