Well because there are only two Akatsuki rings seen in the series, and it was never stated that any abilities come with them.
Akatsuki Rings may act as tools of torture or could be part of a process to break down captured targets psychically by having members describe dreams or memories that they share with their captives.
I highly doubt this, and could not find any reference to it anywhere. All the rings are said to be the same. Some of them just happen to be stronger than others for whatever reason. The only ring with an ability is Rinnegan, and it’s implied that this is due to Pein’s blood flowing through Naruto Uzumaki, one of its wielders; in other words, they’re either wrong or Naruto has a mutation because he’s 100% human (or mostly). Other than that I’ve seen nothing about other abilities on Akatsuki rings beyond the “personal power” factor we see from all ninja who wear headbands as in typical manga fashion—though I guess now we know why Kakashi wears one. Perhaps it’s for the same reason Naruto wears one under his jumpsuit, but how many times has he had to hide the fact that he was wearing it? Of course, this is all if you don’t count Kakuzu—and no, I’m not counting Sasuke as an Akatsuki member yet even though you may disagree.
When the Rinnegan is activated, the Uchiha takes part of Obito’s consciousness into themselves and combine it with their own consciousness, transporting it to another world. When they return from this other world, they gained Akatsuki rings which symbolize their bond with one another as well as give them some degree of power (although there are still limits). The shield and its shape remains relatively unchanged, even when deactivated. Other Rinnegan bearers can be seen with these Akatsuki rings without activating the Rinnegan or being bonded to anyone else on a mental or spiritual level (except Madara). These people show an increase in brain activity between 13% – 19%.
The three Akatsuki rings are said to show a great deal of fortuitous power and possess powerful abilities. The first ring was with Pain, the second with Konan, and the third was given to Nagato’s legacy.
Negative emotions can be distorted into various sources of power by the Akatsuki rings; however these emotions will stain your mind if you constantly use them to get that power. In other words, drawing on negative feelings will ultimately cause more negativity in you.
Examples- When Kisame is told about Itachi’s death he takes off his Akatsuki ring out of anger which causes his sword to shake erratically while he conjures it from a water surface before swinging it fiercely at Zetsu.
When the same Akatsuki ring is later owned by Tobi who cares nothing for Itachi, it does not affect him when he summons the sword.
Other examples include how when Deidara fought against Sasuke in his final fight, even though Deidara didn’t want to die, he was able to use self-destruction art without a problem because he had nothing left to fear due to having no desire for life. However, when Deidara turned against Tobi’s plans with the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, he was willing to risk everything by using C4 explosives to destroy it even though doing so meant his death.
The Akatsuki rings are able to transform into a variety of weapons, ranging from chainsaws to artillery cannons.
It’s not just abilities Akatsuki rings have, but rather a will to fight.
A lot of members of the Akatsuki are missing limbs, and they wear these rings on their limited fingers in order to compensate for weaknesses or lack there-of. The symbolism here is that they’re missing something, and need this ring as artificial substitution until they can reclaim what’s been taken from them in some way. This obsession with claiming what has been denied them is part of their motivation for joining the organization in spite of its dishonorable origins – all for power or revenge against those who wronged them first.
Akatsuki understands that if it’s just about taking an opponent down then all you need is brute strength; so it chose something that’s more symbolic as a ring. It represents something that is worth keeping and protecting, and thus is willing to go out and fight for it. Hence its members will often take extreme measures to carry out their goals, so much so they’d be branded as terrorists for some of their actions even by civil standards.
Regardless of the Akatsuki member, they’re all united in their one-ness of purpose and the Ring is the only sign required to show that unity.
It’s not just abilities Akatsuki rings have, but rather a will to fight.
It reflects who they are as people and what they believe in and fight for above everything else – those values which made them join the organization in spite of its dishonorable origins.
Most members wear the rings on their pointing fingers, but there are some who wear them on another digit or even palms instead of two fingers – Madara and Zetsu always wore theirs on both index and middle finger and Kakuzu and Hidan had one on each hand. They’re black because they’re the Akatsuki rings no matter what they look like, but there are some who do have slightly different colors to represent who they are.
The one ring rule is not limited to just Akatsuki, but applies to everyone affiliated with them as well – this also includes Kabuto and Orochimaru during their brief membership in the group.
When Sakura encounters an Akatsuki ring, she has the ability to summon a penguin from it.
Akatsuki rings are made of pure light, said in by Naruto to be “compressed”; they contain no hard particles. So they have no physical properties and exist simply as spheres of pure light. It’s possible that this strange arrangement is what allows them to interact with the human world at all and Sakura’s powers are something special (a genetically passable quirk or some other.) But really we don’t know more than Sakura does because the nature of her power is nowhere near fully understood. The answer is Tenten’s: unknown.
Yes, Akatsuki rings use similar technology to Kamui. The only difference is that the ring’s user has to know how to utilize their special technique, while with Kamui you just have to think about it like with teleportation and the destination appears before your eyes.
This version of space-time manipulation relies on a backup space where both destination and appearance are stored within the Akatsuki based off of data from its surroundings at any given moment in time, this creates an intermediate storage node for jumping between dimensions without having to directly interfere with surrounding space-time. And because these worlds don’t exist simultaneously, hence they technically can’t be interfered by one another but also cannot make contact via tele-, they effectively create wormholes separate from each other.
To create a reality that possesses different data from the rest of spacetime around it while also being integrated with said data at the same time, is something I cannot comprehend no matter how many times I read this paragraph… But isn’t this completely irrelevant to anyone but Orochimaru? And since he’s already dead, why do we even need to know this?
It’s easy! You just draw a circle and… uhm… Well actually it’s quite complicated. A real ninja probably knows about this stuff more than anyone else.
Yes. The Akatsuki rings allow the wearer to use kagemari taijutsu, ichimonji no jutsu, and yasei no meramai.
At first glance these abilities may seem rather pointless on paper but when one of the user’s hands is open they can close it into a fist before grabbing anything within that grasp and pull it inside out with a powerful burst of chakra. This grants them the ability to create large holes in solid objects like walls or cave ceilings as well as separate earth to mud for easy plying with just their hand! That gives them an unlimited supply of dirt for hiding after using Earth style techniques as well as form all manner of different tools from thin pieces of wood to sturdy ladders.
This same ability is even more deadly when used against an enemy, able to rip into their head and display brain matter on the tip of the user’s fingers or perhaps just cause a burst of chakra that will turn their bones into dust under the slightest contact!
Yasei no meramai is simply based on the user’s chakra control and allows them to convert their elemental affinity into a specific form of lightning. It’s incredibly dangerous but the results are stunningly beautiful, resembling a birds wings in shape with large bolts of electricity forming long feathers that dance across their body before shooting off.
The last ability is known as ichimonji no jutsu and is definitely not something to be taken lightly. It’s the only jutsu of the three that requires a partner which positions themselves on each of the user’s shoulders while they activate their ring. Their power can then flow through them and become an enormous surge of lightning released from every inch of the user’s body! That being said it has many drawbacks. First of all it’s extremely dangerous; if their partner isn’t careful they could be electrocuted or die in some other horrible way. The second is that the user becomes completely drained after performing the jutsu, requiring them to rest for days before they can use any other jutsu again making this an incredibly dangerous last resort kind of move!
